Steve Fletcher has always wanted to express his clock knowledge in more artistic ways.

He graduated from the British Horological Institute in 1975, gaining a first-class pass. He immediately set up his own clock-making business, helped by his father and grandfather who are also horologists. In between repairs and restorations, Steve has always experimented with innovative clock designs, albeit on paper. A year ago, he decided to open his clock art gallery to give space to his exclusive, contemporary designs

When you come to his gallery on Corn Street in the centre of Witney, you will immediately hear the difference. The automaton parts in his silent sculptures move effortlessly round their 24 hour cycle, in peaceful contrast to the usual tick-tock.
